Co-owner Melanie Wakefield said: “The past year has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone due to the pandemic and we really wanted to support other independent businesses like ourselves, such as Sussex Lighting and Martin Leadbeater, to incorporate their expertise in bringing our vision to life.
“Both Dominic and I absolutely love Horsham town and are very involved within the local community, which is also why we felt so strongly about elevating Wakefields with this new look.
“We wanted to create a really luxurious new retail environment and shopping experience that everyone would be proud to have as a part of Horsham.”
Wakefield added: “Dominic and I love the new store, the feel is the best thing. I was concerned that it would feel smaller because of all the extra features we have added, but it really doesn’t.
“It has a luxe look but the feeling is still the same warm, friendly welcome. The look on customers faces when they turn around and see the bar is great, and we’ve had so many ‘wows’.
“It really makes the months of work worthwhile. We have focused a little more on incorporating our bespoke design service and on-site workshop into the new layout, it’s what we’ve been doing for a long time, but not really telling people that this is our forte, so we’re really looking forward to creating some wonderful new jewellery designs.”
